San Ferlius-sur-Lovregat (Catalan, officially Sant Feliu de Llobregat) is the capital of Catalonia's Bajo Llobregat region. It belongs to the province of Barcelona, Spain's Catalan Autonomous Region. According to official data from INE and Idescat 2022 , the city has 45,642 residents. It is also the head of a judicial district. It is integrated into the Bajo Llobregat area (the capital of the region), 15 km from the center of Barcelona. Northeast Highway (A-2) at kp 604 through the municipal area, B-23 highway connects Barcelona to the Mediterranean Highway (AP-7), and N-340 highway (reconstructed to a city road through the city center). The terrain of Sant Feliu is defined by the first highlands of the Llobregat River and the Collserola Mountains. Several streams pass through the city, bringing water from nearby mountains to the Llobregat River. The most outstanding mountains are Puig d'Olorda (424 m), Turó Rodó (344 m) and Penya del Moro (255 m). The altitude is between 424 meters (Puig d'Olorda) and 10 meters on the banks of the Llobregat River. The city center is 22 meters above sea level. Paleolithic relics were found in the Can Albareda area and Neolithic relics were found in the Cueva del Oro or Cueva de los Encantados area on the south slope of the Olorda Peak; it is proved that there was human presence in the prehistoric area. Iberian and Roman relics have also been found at different locations such as Grasse (Les Grases) or Piazza Villa. During the Roman and medieval periods, the city was known as Titian, Tiano and Micano. It was not until 1002 that the San Feliu place name appeared in writing in a document of the monastery, Sancti Felicis. The origin of the sect was the monastery dedicated to the saint. In 1524, the parish church of San Lorenzo was founded and destroyed during the civil war and later rebuilt in the same location. Construction began in 1892 and was completed in 1933. It was used as a watchtower during the Civil War and is the only remaining element of the old church. In 1996, Cuadrilla de Campaneros was established to ring the bell and maintain the bell tower. Before that, San Feliu relies on the San Juan de Sveern and San Juan de Spi. A few years later, a witchcraft trial of an Oxytang woman named Blanca Badiela (Blanca Bardiera) was held in the town, and she was acquitted. In the 17th century, Jaime Fargra built a palace in the city, with a vast garden that stretched to Lloregard. Until a few years ago, the property belonged to the Marquis Castelber family, an aristocratic family, descended from Jaime Fargra. The palace was used until the 20th century. At present, the remainder of the palace and its gardens are municipal property. It is worth mentioning that the Castelber family's carriages are still preserved in stables and in Josep Maria de Sagara's work, "The Boulevard of Flowers". The clip is immortal. In 1855, San Ferliu railway station was completed, equivalent to a line connecting Barcelona and Villafranca. Another landmark is the municipal market, built in 1885. Since 1936, San Ferliu has been the capital of the Bajo Llobregat region. The development and gradual accumulation of services prompted King Alfonso XIII to grant the city of San Ferliu in 1929. During the Spanish Civil War, place names with religious meanings were suppressed. In Sant Ferliu, for example, due to the great tradition of planting this flower, The town was renamed Rosas del Lloregat. Since the beginning of the 20th century, many factories have been built in the city, first textile mills, then metallurgical mills. With the emergence of electricity production, ships were abandoned, and the industrialization of the town and the whole region began. In 1948, Radio San Feliu was founded under the name "Radio Juventud de San Feliu" and enjoys some independence despite being guided by the sports youth (Long Gun Party). It should also be noted that the city was the venue for volleyball training during the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Barmuteria Restaurant CASINO 1879
